Adam Sandler to make important movie? I kid...I kid...

To be honest, the following project is the kind of movie I WANT Adam Sandler making. There are three kinds of Sandler movies: harmless but stupid; stupid and harmful; and inexplicably good art films that he should make more but doesn't because he loves money more than making something good. Knowing that the last is a "once in a decade" affair, I always hope for the former, which is exactly what The Pretend Wife sounds like. THR is reporting that Sandler will be paired with Jennifer Aniston, who has never done anything for me. I don't find her particularly attractive, I find her voice obnoxious, I find her talent minimal, and I find her choice of projects suspect...but other than that I love HER! Seriously, am I the only one constantly thinking she's trying too hard? Look:

That isn't "free-spirited," post-feminist empowered sexuality on display, that's a shot taken in between her asking "do I look okay? Is this hot?" Just my take, she could be a lovely person...actually, she's doing an Adam Sandler movie, so scratch that. My favorite part of the report on this soon-to-be-unfunny comedy is that they say "the plot is being kept under wraps." HA. If the script has been written (if there will even be one), I'm fairly confident that the title IS the entire plot. She's going to pretend to be his wife for some reason or another and they fall in love. It's The Proposal only instead of a wry Ryan Reynolds, we get a dry Adam Sandler. Oh, and because I realize I'm prone lately to posting pictures of lovely ladies often, the equality meter in my head keeps dinging.
